Organizational Change Management (OCM) & Training
Everyone in business today knows they face constant change, but not everyone knows how to turn it to their advantage. Leaders in high-performance organizations see the upside to the change, they see it as vital to their long-term success and embrace it as a means to win customers and beat the competition. But sometimes it takes special expertise in change management to help employees see the value of change the same way you do.
MIT’s Organizational Change Management (OCM) professionals help organizations successfully sustain, integrate and institutionalize change. We partner with you to develop an approach that minimizes business disruption and speeds the change process so you get a fast return on your investment. Our experts work with you to develop a change management strategy that suits your needs—providing the appropriate roadmap and tools to best prepare your people for change and new ways of doing business.
OCM Overview
We use a proven organizational change management methodology that includes the following elements:
- Visioning – Identify the shared key elements of the desired future state
- Organizational Change Management Roadmap/Strategy – Create a cost effective organizational change management strategy to prepare all employees for a change initiative
- Communication and Sponsorship – Design and execute a communication and leadership framework to achieve integrated and sustained change
- Organization Impact Analysis – Identify what you want to change and then assess how these changes will impact specific roles and the overall organization
- Learning and Support – Design, develop and execute a customized learning and ongoing support program to integrate new processes, tools, roles and responsibilities
- Change Readiness Assessment – Analyze the readiness of employees to accept change and effectively execute new roles and responsibilities
- Change Management Office – Help your organization to define and develop its own Organizational Change Management strategy, methodology and tools for use across IT and business initiatives. In addition to project or initiative-specific change management, MIT offers other strategic organization development services such as Organizational Alignment and Corporate Learning Strategies.
Training Overview
Training is essential for ensuring that all individuals impacted by change are prepared and fully capable of performing their duties. Training courses are developed and integrated into an overall roadmap and timeline. The following is an overview of the MIT training methodology:
Analyze the organization's needs and identify training goals which, when reached, will equip learner's with knowledge and skills to meet the organization's needs.
Design a training system that learners and trainers can implement to meet the learning goals; typically includes identifying learning objectives, needed facilities, necessary funding, course content, lessons and sequence of lessons.
Develop a training "package" of resources and materials, including, developing audio-visuals, graphics, and manuals.
Implement the training package, including delivering the training, support group feedback, clarifying training materials, administering tests and conducting the final evaluation.
Evaluate training, including before, during and after implementation of training.
